The workshop "Gas in Biotechnology" is organised together with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna.

Topics will include microbiology, pure culture microbiology, artificial microbial ecosystems, mixed culture, growth conditions as well as biochemical engineering.
Day 1: focus on N2 fixation and gas fermentation
Day 2: focus on biological H2 production
The keynote speakers will be Prof. Willy Verstraete of the University of Ghent, Belgium and Prof. Volker Müller of the Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany.
