The Archaea Ecology & Evolution and Environmental Cell Biology Groups spent a beautiful day at the Neusiedler lake in Burgenland.
- Starting the morning with a long bike ride in Schützen am Gebirge we relaxed on the ferry from Mörbisch to Illmitz and enjoyed some birdwatching.
- Here we went on a small trip in the "Seewinkel", where the deepest point of Austria lies and also one of the hottest, tellingly called "die Hölle" (the hell).
- Visiting the Weinakademie and finishing the day tasting local wines in a "Buschenschank"
