"Comparison of Carbonic Anhydrases for CO2 Sequestration"

Congratulations to Steger, F., Reich, J., Fuchs, W., Rittmann, S., Gübitz, G. M., Ribitsch, D., & Bochmann on their new publication in International journal of molecular sciences:

Comparison of Carbonic Anhydrases for CO2 Sequestration

Carbonic anhydrases are enzymes that catalyze the hydration of CO2 in aqueous solution and therefore could be used to capture CO2. Steger et al. examined if carbonic anhydrases can be used to convert CO2 to carbonate. Their results indicate the potential to utilize carbonic anhydrases from anaerobic microorganisms to develop CO2 sequestration applications."
