The Highly Cited Researchers list identifies scientists who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.

The 2019 list of Highly Cited Researchers has been launched.

44 scientists are from Austria (5 women), 8 researchers have an affiliation with the University of Vienna.

Highly Cited Researchers - Powered by Web of Science

Each year, since 2002, the Web of Science Group identifies the world's most influential researchers. The select few who have been most frequently cited by their peers over the last decade.

In 2019, fewer that 6,300, or 0.1%, of the world's researchers, across 21 research fields, have earned this exclusive distinction.
